We are hiring a Head of Marketing to be based in Singapore, for our strategic Joint Venture the Capital F&B Pte Ltd.
1) About us:
Asahi Europe & International ("AEI") is part of Asahi Group Holdings, a global beer, spirits, soft drinks, and food group listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Japan. It has leading positions in European and Asia-Pacific markets.
AEI runs 19 production facilities in 8 countries across Europe and is the custodian of some of the best beer brands in the world, including Asahi Super Dry, Pilsner Urquell, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Grolsch, and Kozel. 2) About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Head of Marketing to lead the marketing strategy development and execution of the annual brand plan for Capital F&B brand portfolios.
As a Head of Marketing, you’ll create and execute strategic marketing plans that align with the company’s business objectives. This involves market research, competitor analysis, consumer trend studies, and tracking the return on investment (ROI) of various marketing campaigns You’ll oversee all aspects of the marketing functions, including branding, advertising, digital marketing, trade marketing, and market research. Providing leadership and guidance to the marketing team, cross-functional team and external key stakeholders is crucial for collaboration and performance. Managing the marketing budget and allocating resources to various projects is another key responsibility. Balancing expenditures while maximizing profits and market share is essential.
The job holder will also be responsible to lead the implementation of the AEI global/ABA regional brand activation plans for the market and build a powerful Global Brand portfolio in the market, in conjunction with the Global Brands and ABA Regional Marketing teams, through excellent in-market execution in alignment with the business ambitions. He/she will act as a marketing subject matter expert to other departments and external stakeholders, ensuring that the brand is managed effectively, consistently, and executed successfully per the brand plan.
This role plays a pivotal role in shaping our brand identity and driving growth across the key channels and commercial success by working closely with senior stakeholders across the businesses and overseeing the implementation and execution excellence of all through-the-line activities that drive brand awareness, sales, and revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive 3-yr marketing strategy and integrated annual plan to align with business objectives to build the brand and drive sales.
Lead a team of marketing professionals, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation and provide excellence on marketing support.
Develop marketing directives for total brand portfolio strategy and product launches in 360-degree execution.
Own and drive social media strategy and execution across relevant platforms for key campaigns to drive awareness, brand loyalty, and earned social conversation.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity, adjusting strategies as necessary to maintain competitive edge.
Work closely with commercial team to develop effective promotional campaigns that drive revenue growth.
Track and analyse performance metrics, using data to inform future marketing decisions.
Ensure compliance with regional regulations in all marketing initiatives.
Adopt a Commercial Investment Framework and ensure the annual brand plan is delivered on time and within budget.
Manage advertising and promotion budget and conduct analysis and regular updates on data-driven insights and recommendations.
Develop a clear understanding of the On-/Off-premise consumer and shopper behaviors and develop plans effectively and accordingly.
Develop project plans specific to each channels, outlining all brand activation initiatives; convert consumer, customer, and shopper insights into activation and lead the ongoing digital and influencer plan.
Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of and ROI of marketing efforts and plans, providing insights and recommendations for optimization and improvement.
Establish effective and sustainable partnerships with agencies and vendors and hold agencies accountable for the agreed KPIs and make decisions on all brand building activities.
Partner with cross-functional teams, including Sales/Commercial, Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain, to ensure a cohesive and unified brand message across all communication channels and seamlessly integrate marketing efforts to maximize overall impact.
Research on competitors and keep up with the latest market trends and challenges to stay ahead.
Participate in any ad-hoc assigned projects.
We might be a potential match if you are/have:
Bachelor’s degree or above holder.
A minimum of 10 years of brand and shopper marketing experience acquired from international FMCG, F&B and luxury brand Companies.
Proven track record in building successful brands and new product launches.
Strong evidence of planning and project management and a strong understanding of premium brand building and resulting brand portfolio management.
Demonstrated experience managing marketing projects through to successful completion.
Proficiency in digital and social media marketing tools and experience making decisions about media planning and buying
Solid experience in producing experiential events and engaging with PR and influencers to amplify the impact of the activity.
Solid experience in trade marketing planning and execution for both on, off-trade and digital commerce platform.
Understanding of P&Ls and a strong business acumen.
Experience in managing budgets and with proven ability to allocate resources effectively and efficiently.
Ability to translate consumer insights and customer data sources (such as Nielsen) into effective plans and actions.
