I’m about to end my second year at Texas State University, and overall I’d give m experience a 9/10. There is not much to complain about, other than the lack of updates and the hills. Be prepared to be sore! Also, they’re always having activities on campus, and even give away free merchandise. Sewell Park is in walking distance, which is a great place to relax in the sun with your friends. The square is also a great place to catch a bite to eat and explore shops on the weekends, or go to the bars at night! The academics quality at Texas State definitely differ on programs. For example, Fine Arts, Nursing, psychology, healthcare, and criminology have great programs and are the main focus of interest at Texas State University. Great School Overall, but definitely tour and do your research.

It was a great place to be, the environment, the campus, the opportunities as well. I see my self growing here and it’s going to be a lot of fun! Especially for what I’m majoring in which is Mechanical Engineering. One great school to be at is TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY. I loved my experience a lot and can’t wait to come back!

I loved Texas State and the San Marcos area. Most of my classes were great. Once I got into my special education and teaching courses, I felt how much my professors cared about me and what they were teaching. I never felt like I couldn't go to them for help with my school work or my life. The College of Education at Texas State is amazing and prepared me for my future as an educator!
