Taiga and Ami spend a lot of this volume butting heads, which can be a little exhausting, but we get some real insight into Ami and her reluctance to just be herself, fuelled by the fact that her real self is pretty miserable。I do think it’s a laudable position for the story to take that being yourself is the most important thing; even if that’s probably unpalatable to a lot of people it allows you to form actual bonds with the people who DO accept you, rather than the false acceptance of people Taiga and Ami spend a lot of this volume butting heads, which can be a little exhausting, but we get some real insight into Ami and her reluctance to just be herself, fuelled by the fact that her real self is pretty miserable。I do think it’s a laudable position for the story to take that being yourself is the most important thing; even if that’s probably unpalatable to a lot of people it allows you to form actual bonds with the people who DO accept you, rather than the false acceptance of people who only see what you project。Which is itself ironic because Taiga spends a lot of time hiding how much she depends/likes/whatever with Ryuuji behind some serious hostility, including an epic blowout that ends the book, even as he continues to be the best friend she has。It’s still engaging and still funny - this has some of the best laughs yet, with Taiga’s improvised rainy day ensemble being particularly good and plenty of solid visuals otherwise。 Our leads being blasted by megaphone still makes me laugh just because of how they draw Taiga’s hair。Add in the introduction of a very loud wrinkle to Taiga’s pursuit of Kitamura and the hint of a big problem on that front and you have another strong volume (if not AS strong as what’s come before)。 。。。more This manga is so funny, love the unusual relationship with all the characters。 In this we see more of a background story of supermodel Ami and why she left modeling for school time。 We also see less of the agreement that Ryuji and Taiga did in the beginning to help each other to win there crushes。 Ryuuji is hers, indeed。I know it, she knows it, everybody knows it。Even him。Sort of。 i really dislike ami。 she's annoying。 eh。 i really dislike ami。 she's annoying。 eh。 。。。more This series seriosuly!!! Let the face-off begin! Popular teen model Kawashima Ami has just transferred into the same class as Ryuji and Taiga, and things couldn't get off to worse start。 Ryuji and Taiga know Ami's secret -- that the angelic persona she presents to the world is a lie, and she's really a selfish, bossy brat。 Taiga becomes the first target of Ami's viciousness, and the "Palmtop Tiger" is not amused!

So begins a war of epic proportions between two ferocious girls, and the ill-fated Ryuji stuck in the middle!!
